Following several requests to address road safety concerns outside schools, in 2021 the traffic team developed a pilot project to install advisory '20mph when lights show' signs outside five schools. The pilot was successful and the project has been expanded.
In July 2022, all these signs were implemented. Following the expansion, we now have 52 signs across 24 schools.
