British Sign Language (BSL) is the language used by some deaf people or those who have a hearing impairment.
BSL interpreters
If you need a BSL interpreter to access our services, please contact us and let us know. The more notice you can give us, the easier it'll be for us to find one at a time that suits you.
You can also request a video call back with a BSL interpreter to contact us about our services.
BSL video relay service
We work with AA Global to enable people who use BSL to contact our customer services by video call. This service is free to use.
You can request a video call using our online form below. In the form you'll be able to tell us the service you need to video call us about. A friend or relative can request the video call on your behalf (either by filling in the online form or by calling us on 01226 773555), but we won't be able to discuss the content of your enquiry with this person.
When we receive your request we'll confirm your appointment by text or email and send you a link to join the video call. Call backs will take place Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.
To join the video call you'll need:
- a smartphone, tablet or computer with a front-facing camera
- a stable internet connection
- any web browser, except Internet Explorer
