Barnsley council’s updated bin calendar for 2024 is now available for all residents.
The calendar provides details of bin schedules from January 2024 to January 2025, including any changes to services over Christmas and New Year.
Residents can view the new calendar on Barnsley council’s website. There may be changes to collections for some residents, so it’s important to check the calendar for the latest information.
Any residents who require a paper copy of the calendar can download it from our website and print it off at home.
Those who are not online or do not have access to the internet, are encouraged to seek help from friends, family, or neighbours. Alternatively, they can visit their local library, and a member of staff will assist them in printing off a paper copy. Computers need to be booked in advance online or by calling (01226) 773555.
Councillor James Higginbottom, Cabinet Spokesperson for Environment and Highways, said:
“Our bin calendars are an important resource for our residents and are designed to make it simple for residents to see when their bin days are at a glance.
“I’d also like to thank everyone in Barnsley for their continued efforts to recycle. In the last financial year, we saw 10,913 tonnes of blue bin and 5,970 tonnes of brown bin recycling.
“This is a great achievement and I hope that we can work together to keep improving the amount of recycling we do across the borough this year. That way we can all make Barnsley cleaner, greener and more sustainable in 2024.”
More information can be found on the council’s bins, rubbish and recycling web pages.
