We are delighted to announce that GBAC Ltd, a dedicated accountancy consultancy based in Barnsley, has been awarded the Be Well@Work Silver Award. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone as GBAC Ltd becomes the first consultancy in the region to be recognised for its exceptional commitment to employee health and wellbeing.
GBAC Ltd, employing 36 staff members, has demonstrated strong dedication to promoting and supporting the physical and mental health of its employees, going above and beyond the standard requirements. The company has excelled in various areas, including mental health support, consultation and communication, training and development, health campaigns, and stop smoking initiatives.
With the presence of trained Mental Health First Aiders and workplace health champions, GBAC Ltd has made huge changes aimed at fostering a supportive environment for mental health and overall wellbeing. Additionally, the introduction of a four-day workweek, which has been in place for two years, has been particularly well-received by staff.
During the award presentation, Councillor Robin Franklin, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, praised GBAC Ltd’s efforts: “It was a pleasure to visit GBAC Ltd to present the Be Well@Work Silver Award.
