Barnsley town centre is ready to welcome families this Easter with a range of fun and free activities for all ages.
From egg hunts to arts and crafts, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The highlight of the Easter programme is the Easter Egg Trail, which runs from Saturday 23 March to Sunday 7 April. Explore the town centre to discover ten giant eggs, hidden in various locations including the Alhambra Shopping Centre and The Glass Works.
Each egg will feature multiple designs from local schoolchildren. Over 450 entries from eight Barnsley schools were considered with 30 winners being chosen by the Mayor of Barnsley, Councillor James Michael Stowe.
All the other entries will be featured by the escalators in the atrium of Barnsley Markets through the duration of the trail for families to see.
To join the trail, simply collect a trail sheet from the Alhambra Shopping Centre’s or The Glass Works’ customer service desk. Once you have completed the trail, return your sheet to enter a prize draw for a chance to win an eggcellent prize!
