Grab a Christmas bargain and support good causes at the same time at our first charity market in December.
The event at Penistone Market Barn on Saturday 7 December is giving charities the chance to reach a wider audience with a stall alongside our regular traders.
Visitors to the market will be able to snap up unique gifts for loved ones, while supporting charities making a huge difference to our community in Barnsley.
The charity market - which runs from 8.30am to 2pm - will add to the calendar of events at our borough markets, which aim to make them more appealing to a wide range of shoppers and visitors.
Cllr Robin Franklin, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “I’m pleased that so many charities and good causes have signed up for a stall at our first charity market in Penistone.
“We want everyone to enjoy a pleasant shopping experience at our markets and our high streets and events like this aim to add to their appeal.
“I hope everyone will take the chance to visit the market and see what gifts they can pick up as the countdown to Christmas continues.”
Our markets play a vital part in ensuring our high streets and town centres are thriving and everyone can enjoy a pleasant shopping experience.
