Due to the snow and icy conditions there are currently disruptions to some of our services.

Bin collections

We expect bin collections to be disrupted this week, with the snow and ice affecting safe access for our collection vehicles and for our crews.

If your bin is due for collection, please put it out as normal and we'll try to collect it if it's safe to do so.

If your bin has been missed, please leave it out and we'll return to empty it as soon as we can. See our disruptions to bin collections page for more details.

There are also delays to our business waste collection service. If you're due a business waste collection this week, please put your bins out as normal and we'll empty them when we can do this safely.

Bulky waste collections and bin deliveries

There are delays to our bulky waste collection service and with the delivery of new or replacement bins, until we can complete these safely.

If you've recently requested a bulky waste collection or ordered a bin, it may be longer than usual before your items are collected or your new bin is delivered.

Register office

The register office in Barnsley Town Hall will be open reduced hours this week:

  • 9am to 3pm on Wednesday 8 January
  • 9am to 3pm on Thursday 9 January
  • 10:30am to 3pm on Friday 10 January

If you've ordered a copy certificate for collection, you'll only be able to collect it from the register office during these hours this week.
