There are two golf courses in Barnsley - The Limes in Staincross and Hillies Golf Course in Wombwell.
The Limes
The Limes is Barnsley Golf Club's par 69 course. It's situated on the A61 in Staincross, between Barnsley and Wakefield. Over 5951 yards, it offers even the most competitive of golfers a challenge.
The course is open to all. You can play on a casual pay-and-play basis, or as a member.
Opening times
The Limes opening times vary due to daylight hours, but generally the course is open from 7am until dusk 363 days a year (closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day).

Membership (season tickets)
You can become a member of Barnsley Golf Club by buying a season ticket.
Season tickets run from 1 April to 31 March each year. You can split the cost of your membership into 12 monthly instalments at no extra cost if you pay by Direct Debit.

Golf society days and corporate packages
You can arrange golf society days, party bookings and corporate packages at The Limes for groups of 12 people or more. These can be booked up to 12 months in advance.
Packages range from just a round of golf to a round and a meal, or can be made bespoke for you.

Competitions
During the year Barnsley Golf Club organise major trophy competitions for men, ladies and juniors. These are in addition to monthly weekend and mid-week medal competitions for each category.

Hillies Golf Course
