Visits to support religious education

Visits to places of worship are a vital part of pupils' growth. They bring a sense of awe and wonder into their lives.

These visits form an crucial part of the citizenship/PSHE curriculum. They give pupils an insight into how religion affects them, their family, community and culture.

During the last few years SACRE has arranged visits to various places of worship. We've involved teachers from all key stages, as well as SACRE members.

After each visit, we ask people to give feedback. We also ask for feedback about visits people feel are of high quality and would benefit other pupils. If you've recently been on a visit, please give us your views by filling in our online form.

Most of the centres have their own risk assessment documents.
