Permits and vouchers for residents
When you apply for a residents' parking permit, please include photocopies of the documents below.
One of the following that links you to the property:
- This year's Council Tax bill
- Tenancy agreement or rent book
- Utility bill (gas, electric or water) - dated in the last three months
- Bank statement - dated in the last three months
- Driving licence photo card
One of the following that links the vehicle to you:
- Log book (V5c) - the copy must include the page showing vehicle details.
- Valid insurance certificate (not the schedule or letter/reminder). This may be a copy of the fleet insurance if it's a company vehicle
If you apply for vouchers only, just include one of the documents that links you to the property.
Company vehicles
If you apply for a residents' permit to park a company vehicle near your home. You'll need to include, a letter from your manager, on company letterhead, giving the following details:
- your full name
- registration number, colour, make and model of the company vehicle
- confirmation that you have use of this vehicle to carry out your normal working duties
- confirmation that the vehicle will be parked at your address (full address). It will be outside working hours and will require a permit to park
Permits and vouchers for businesses
When you apply for a permit or vouchers for a business. Include photocopies of the documents below.
Any one of the following that links the business to the property:
- This year's non domestic rates bill
- Business tenancy agreement
- Business utility bill (gas, electric or water) - dated in the last three months
- Business bank statement - dated in the last three months
- Charitable status document
Any one of the following that links you to the business:
- Any document that links the business to the property (as above) if they include your name and the business name
- A recent pay slip
- Business liability insurance certificate if it lists employee's name
Plus the following that links you to the vehicle and the vehicle to the property:
- Valid insurance certificate showing that the vehicle is insured for business use
- Letter on company letterhead confirming that the vehicle is used for official business
If you're applying for vouchers only just include one document that links the business to the property. Also one document that links you to the business (as above).
