Location and opening/closing times
Dearne Valley runs alongside the river for two miles from Old Mill to the Trans Pennine Trail viaduct at Lundwood.
The park is less than a mile from Barnsley town centre and is surrounded by the communities of Oakwell, Old Mill, Monk Bretton, Lundwood, Stairfoot and Hoyle Mill.
It is open all hours every day.

The main car park is accessed off Pontefract Road.
