Our care training programme is here to help you take your first steps into a rewarding career working in care. If you’re looking for a new challenge, love helping others and want to learn more about working in care, this could be the perfect starting point for you.
Our four-week training programme will teach you everything you need to know about working in care. After a few weeks of training, you’ll come away with the skills and knowledge you need to start in one of Barnsley’s varied health and care roles.
Are you under 30 and interested in working in health and social care?
We’re teaming up with the Prince’s Trust to help more young people explore the possibilities of working in health and social care. Our friendly advisors are here to help you find a role that suits you and get started in care.

Vacancies
There are lots of different job roles available within care, all offering chances to learn, develop and grow. You'll find roles helping people to continue living independently in their own homes and lead happy, healthy lives in one of our care homes.
For many of our roles, you don't need any previous experience. If you've the right caring qualities, we can teach you the rest.
You'll need a few core skills, like working well in teams and being able to build strong relationships. Most of all, we're looking for passionate people who love helping others.
