We’re excited to be recruiting to the post of Group Leader Capital Projects (Economic Development) to lead on the delivery of the capital regeneration projects for Barnsley, the place of possibilities and South Yorkshire.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic new Group Leader. Someone who will help us deliver on these opportunities and address our challenges to make Barnsley a better place for all our residents. If you have a passion for developing and leading a dynamic and motivated team, and delivering multiple, large scale capital projects, then this is the role for you.

Why this job?

As Group Leader, you'll provide leadership and vision for the delivery of capital regeneration projects across the borough of Barnsley. You'll be tasked with developing and delivering capital projects on time and on budget and to support the wider aims and ambitions of the Economic Development service and the council.

You'll also play a vital role in the management and leadership of the Economic Development service. You'll work with senior Council officers, Council Cabinet and decision-makers across our local and regional partners. This will also include working with South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
