If your Council Tax account falls into arrears, we may contact you using our voice, text or email reminder service. This can prevent you being issued with a statutory recovery notice. It may also help you avoid further costs if we take recovery action.
Whilst we offer this service to prevent you from falling further into arrears, you shouldn't rely upon it. It's your responsibility to pay the instalments due on time, in line with your Council Tax bill. If you fail to do this we may take recovery action. Find out more about what happensĀ if you don't pay your Council Tax.
You may also receive a text or email from us asking you to complete a wellbeing assessment with TellJO. This is to help identify any extra support or signposting to other services you may need. TellJO can share your details with us if you consent. We can then get in touch with you to offer any extra support.
