A conservation area is one that has special architectural or historic interest. These areas usually have buildings with a strong group value, such as those constructed using traditional forms and materials. The areas often include listed buildings. The high visual quality of these areas are often enhanced by mature trees and boundary walls.
Visit Historic England for more information about conservation areas.
