Children in care and care leavers

Who we are

The Care4Us council is made up of young people aged 8 to 25 who are either looked after or have left the care system but are still part of the leaving care system.

The purpose of Care4Us council is to work with young people’s corporate parents and other services. Making a difference by talking and listening to young people who are in care or care experienced.

Care4Us council members also have the chance to take part in activities.  These include residentials, regional work and fun events like bowling and eating out.

Members of the Care4Us Council have designed a welcome pack for children and young people coming into care. This pack will help you to understand what's happening, who people are, what their jobs are and where to go for help or support. It may help answer some questions you might have.

If you'd like a printed version of this, please ask your carer or social worker.

Read the welcome pack.
