More Money in Your Pocket

The government has announced that the Household Support Fund, which was due to end on 31 March 2024, will now be extended for a further six months until 30 September 2024.

We've received a further £2.3 million from the Department for Work and Pensions to support people with their food, energy and other essential household costs.

Energy costs

A £40 voucher will be issued to all households who receive Council Tax Support. These will be issued in July 2024.

You don't need to apply for this voucher. It will be automatically sent to those who receive Council Tax Support.

Free school meal holiday vouchers

We'll be providing £15 to families who receive means-tested free school meals. This is to help with buying food during the May school holidays.

You'll get a letter with a barcode which you need to take to the post office with a form of ID to receive the £15 payment.
