Preparing for winter weather
The Met Office have a Weather Ready campaign which provides lots of useful information about getting ready for winter and the steps you can take to prepare yourself for severe weather.
They've produced a series of advice guides including:

- health and wellbeing (including how cold weather can affect your health)
- how to stay safe in a storm and what to do in a power cut
