Barnsley 10k - Sunday 29 June 2025

The Barnsley 10k sees the return of a flagship race in Barnsley town centre on fully closed roads.

The event is being delivered by the Sport and Physical Activity team as part of the #WhatsYourMove campaign.

In 2024 we saw 1400 competitors enter the race, and in 2025 we're raising our entry limit to 2400. With entries sold out in 48 hours, we're expecting these to go fast!

All finishers of the race will receive a commemorative event t-shirt and a medal to celebrate their achievement. There will also be free photos available for each entrant to download after completing.

  • Emmanuel Church, where you'll see the runners twice - including on the final bit of the climb back into town
  • Whaley lap - the furthest place on the course
  • Barnsley Town Hall
  • The Glass Works - at the finish line!

About the race

The race starts at 9am on Sunday 29 June 2025. The start line and finish line will be at The Glass Works in Barnsley town centre.
