The national digital entitlement funds adults aged 19+ with no or low digital skills to take a qualification called Essential Digital Skills (EDS). In the EDS course we'll help you use devices like tablets, smartphones and laptops. You'll learn how to perform everyday tasks, such as:

  • browsing the internet
  • sending an email
  • using video calls to keep in touch with family and friends
  • making online payments confidently
  • knowing how to stay safe online

You'll also learn about joining the digital world to build the skills you need for life, work, or further study.

We provide a safe environment for those who lack confidence to have a go. We have a range of devices for you to try but also encourage you to bring your own device as your skills, knowledge and confidence grow.

We also offer courses with a workplace focus, including the use of Microsoft 365 applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. These courses are designed to help you improve your productivity and efficiency in the workplace by exploring how to use these tools to their full potential. You'll be able to produce professional documents independently, including creating and managing spreadsheets, designing and delivering presentations. You'll work on managing your workload effectively and communicating more efficiently with your colleagues.

We also cover crucial topics such as e-safety at work and cybersecurity ensuring that you can work safely and securely in the digital world.
